You will love your experience with Shanks Photography! Our fresh approach to both portrait and wedding photography is a mixture of fashion, relationship, candid and some may even call it lifestyle or photojournalistic. We will direct you into a pose at times or catch you in the act of simply being yourself. Our clients LOVE the pictures taken from moments they are completely unaware we even captured them!
The Shanks Photography studio is a boutique studio located on 6 acres of private wooded land. Our environment makes it easy to have the best of both worlds for your session, in the great outdoors and inside in our light controlled studio environment.
We are also completely mobile and will travel to your favorite location or better yet, right to your home. You may think there is nothing special about my home; there aren’t any good places to make a portrait. Surprisingly, we bring a fresh set of eyes and see opportunities you miss because you are so used to looking at your surroundings. Portraits made in your home generally mean more to you in the end because it’s you and “your stuff” that make them special. If you have small children, they will be more relaxed and natural acting amongst their own toys and familiar surroundings.
Once your session is complete, we will set up time with you to preview your images at our studio or if you live too far away we will accommodate you in some other way. This will be the time to order gift portraits, wall portraits, custom cards or even a beautifully designed album of your session. Travel approximately 1.2 miles and then turn left onto Cochran. Proceed on Cochran until the road curves sharply to the right. Take the 1st left just after the curve and proceed on Kelli Drive about ¼ of a mile. The studio is on the right at 166 Kelli Drive.
